VIDEO: Reds Salute Marty Brennaman After Final Game in Booth
By Kevin Aquino

The Reds' radio broadcasts will never be the same after longtime play-by-play announcer Marty Brennaman signed off one last time following Cincinnati's game against the Brewers. Brennaman spent 46 seasons as the voice of the Reds, and the team showed their appreciation as he begins his well-deserved retirement.

Brennaman started his time with the Reds in 1974, partnering up with former Cincinnati pitcher Joe Nuxhall on the franchise's radio team. The duo called games together until Nuxy stepped away in 2004, only appearing part-time until his death in 2007.
The former UNC Tar Heel has never been shy of sharing his opinion, often to the chargrin and annoyance of other MLB fanbases. But putting together such a successful, lengthy career, clearly doing what he loves to do, has to be applauded by fans around the league.
And this one belongs to Marty! It’s time to honor Marty Brennaman and celebrate his 46 seasons in the Reds’ radio booth! #ThanksMarty https://t.co/7rV0MefExn

It's a sad day for Reds fans, knowing they won't hear, "And this one belongs to the Reds!" following a team victory, but Brennaman gave them all he could, night in and night out for nearly half a century.
Congrats, Mr. Brennaman, this one belongs to you.
