VIDEO: Reds Stun Zach Plesac in 1st Inning With Back-to-Back Homers From Nick Senzel and Joey Votto
By Joey Mauceri
Indians rookie Zach Plesac has been sensational to start his major league career, stabilizing Cleveland's rotation when they needed it most. It seems Plesac has hit his first bump in the road, however, surrendering back-to-back home runs in the first inning of his start against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. Nick Senzel and Joey Votto got the party started against the right-hander.
Plesac had only surrendered two home runs in his first three starts before surrenduring these two blasts to Senzel and Votto.
The home run was Senzel's fifth on his young rookie season. Votto's blast was his sixth on the campaign, in what has been arguably the worst year of Votto's career up to this point.
