VIDEO: Reds Take Early Lead Over Brewers On Yasiel Puig Moonshot
By Michael Luciano
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Yasiel Puig may not be having the best season at the plate, as his .242 average and OPS+ of 91 will attest too, but he'll still mash a ball 445 feet if you leave it right over the middle of the plate. Puig got things started against Jhoulys Chacin and the Milwaukee Brewers by taking a hanging changeup and almost hitting this one into Kentucky. Puig's 19th home run on the season gave the Reds an early 1-0 lead.
Puig has been having an excellent series against Milwaukee, as he helped the Reds steal a win late when he made a break towards home after Eric Thames couldn't come up with the cutoff throw from Christian Yelich.
While there hasn't been much to cheer about this season for Puig and the Reds, the Cuban star has been hot of late and the Reds are stealing games from their hated division rivals.
