VIDEO: Redskins Completely Forget to Cover Anyone on Brutal Wide Open Patriots TD
By Sean Facey
If the Redskins had any hope of coming back against the New England Patriots, then they completely threw it away with this brutal defensive play. Down by 19 in the fourth quarter, Washington sent the house against Brady and the Patriots, leaving the end zone without a single defender, thus leading to an easy touchdown pass from Tom Brady.
Ryan Izzo isn't exactly a worldbeater, so it wouldn't have killed them to spare one man to cover him in the end zone. Sometimes, though, plays like this happen, and unfortunately it's what sealed Washington's fate for Week 5.
