VIDEO: Refs Absolutely Screw Ole Miss by Not Reviewing Potential TD as Time Expires

In the newest edition of just how bad these NCAA referees are getting, they've now thwarted Ole Miss from potentially tying up the game against No. 23 ranked Cal. With less than 20 seconds remaining in the game, Mississippi QB John Rhys Plumlee found Elijah Moore on the goal line for a completion, but officials spotted him down short of the end zone. The refs did not review the play, forcing an unorganized and confused Ole Miss team to scramble back to the line and run a quick play as time expired. They were stopped at the goal line, and California walked away with a win.

That's got to be as brutal as it can get for Ole Miss fans. Not only was there a real chance that Moore had scored a touchdown on the play, but refs chose not to review it, and put the Rebels in panic mode as they attempted to quickly get a play up before time expired.

Matt Luke and Co. seemed furious as they walked off the field in defeat, and it's hard to blame them as they were stripped of a chance to go for two and send the game to overtime. These refs need to do better.
