VIDEO: Refs Screw Patriots Out of 2 TDs vs Chiefs on Fumble Blown Dead and Missed Offensive Score

The Chiefs were just gifted a bad call on a fumble of their own. Sure, that sounds confusing, but stick with us. Travis Kelce clearly fumbled while diving for the first-down marker in Patriots territory, but the official didn't have a good angle, and blew the play dead after the Chiefs TE fumbled the ball, even with Stephon Gilmore running free down the sidelines for what would've been a sure scoop-and-score.

Because the play was blown dead, the Patriots could only challenge the fumble, not the return. This means the ball was placed at the spot of the fumble, eliminating what would've been a defensive touchdown, forcing the Patriots' offense do go down the field instead.
In this case, we'll see if the ball does lie.
Shortly thereafter, N'Keal Harry was also screwed out of a touchdown because the Patriots were out of challenges.

New England was forced to settle for a field goal, and fans should be furious.
