The 2019 World Series champions are the Washington Nationals and they are partaking in a parade to celebrate their first championship in franchise history, but three years ago Saturday marks the anniversary of the Chicago Cubs breaking their 108-year curse and winning the World Series after an epic Game 7 victory over the Cleveland Indians in a day the Windy City won't soon forget.

Even though the Cubs are in a bit of a transition period, this is the championship of all championships. They broke a curse that lasted over a century. I'm sure Cubs fans weren't excited about this year's campaign, but they should be reflecting on this great moment for quite some time.
You know, like how all those fans reacted in Wrigleyville when they won it all.

Of course, believe it or not, the Cubs almost lost that game in extra innings.
Cubs closer Aroldis Chapman blew the save thanks to a Rajai Davis two-run homer, but after a speech by Jason Heyward during the rain delay, Chicago was able to take a lead in the 10th and eventually win the whole damn thing.
