VIDEO: Replay of Klay Thompson's ACL Injury Shows How Much of a Warrior He is Coming Back to Court
By Thomas Carannante
The Golden State Warriors had one of the most devastating ends to a season a team could possibly endure. They lost Kevin Durant to a torn Achilles, Klay Thompson to a torn ACL, and dropped the NBA Finals to the Raptors in six games. Klay's injury didn't come until late in Game 6, and the man literally did all he could to put his team in position to win. He was having a tremendous game up until suffering the injury and even walked back to the court after tearing his knee to shoot (and make!) both free throws he was awarded on the previous play.
You would think that moment would have willed the Warriors to stay alive in this series, but they were simply down too many players to pull it off.
Also, if you look at the zoomed in and slow motion clip of Klay suffering his knee injury, you can truly see how bad it was, making his efforts to return to the court to try and play beyond admirable.
Absolutely devastating. The NBA will be without Klay and KD for a majority of the 2019-20 season, and that's if KD doesn't miss the entire year.
It was a valiant effort from the Warriors but one fans had a very difficult time digesting.
