VIDEO: Richard Sherman Creating Controversy Over Supposed Baker Mayfield Handshake Snub is So Dumb
By Kevin Aquino

Ahem, Mr. Sherman, you have some explaining to do. San Francisco 49ers CB Richard Sherman put Baker Mayfield on the spot for not shaking hands with Niners' team captains, but it looks as though that a handshake between Sherman and Mayfield went down as the teams took the field for the coin toss yesterday.

After a clip revealed that Mayfield definitely dapped up George Kittle, the above video confirms that, while brief, a handshake of some sort did go down between Sherman and Mayfield.
Perhaps Sherman wasn't satisfied with demolishing Cleveland on the field after a 31-3 victory and wanted to further bury Mayfield along with the team's hope of being a top NFL team. But there's so much to utilize when trashing the disappointing Browns -- there's no need to make things up.
So Richard Sherman claims Baker Mayfield refused to shake his hand at the coin toss. This video seems to indicate otherwise: pic.twitter.com/4CgOsLKLPL

What's more, Sherman saying that people shouldn't adjust their expectations for the 49ers going forward is narrow-minded. A team's preseason rank doesn't solidify their entire season, and analysts can modify their outlook on a team while still being told their initial prediction was wrong.

Credit will be given when a team performs well, and between the tired "you doubted us, don't support us now" mindset and the seemingly fabricated handshake story, it just seems like Sherman loves to stir the pot for no reason.
