VIDEO: Rob Gronkowski Gives Strongest Indication Yet That He Wants to Stay Retired
By Sam Dunn
In the months since the Patriots won Super Bowl LIII and Rob Gronkowski left football, the iconic tight end's potential return to the NFL came to be treated as something almost inevitable. Increasingly, however, the buzz has come to be that Gronk, due to long-term concerns about various scary injuries he's suffered, won't be coming back to the NFL at all.
On WEEI's "The Greg HIll Show," Gronkowski stated as loudly and clealy as ever that he's retired, and that he didn't make that decision with any real intention to return.
So, there you have it.
Of course, Jason Witten spent a full year away from the game before returning to the Dallas Cowboys, so this won't completely assuage Pats fans. You can bet on that.
