VIDEO: Rob Gronkowski Makes Weirdest Julian Edelman Reference Ever in FOX Debut Before Giants-Pats
By Scott Rogust
Week 6 is officially upon us, as the New York Giants hit the road to play the undefeated New England Patriots. Not only that, but it was the FOX debut of former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski as their new football analyst. Once "Gronk" was asked about former teammate Julian Edelman, he weirdly compared the receiver to a "squirrel." Why? Because in Gronkowski's words, he's furry, cute, and he "gets that nut."
Phrasing, Rob.
Look, we get where Gronkowski was going for. Edelman is a sub-six-foot receiver who has proven to be quarterback Tom Brady's security blanket, as evidenced in Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams. The connection is undeniable, as Edelman will more times than not, haul in Brady's passes.
Gronkowski is a charismatic individual, as he's showcased on and off the field. Expect plenty of unique comparisons by Gronkowski throughout his FOX tenure this season.
