VIDEO: Ruben Tejada Talking About Broken Leg From '15 NLDS Will Make Mets Fans Hate Chase Utley More
By Daniel Marcillo

Mets fans already loathed Chase Utley for a multitude of reasons, but that hatred dug even deeper after the then-Los Angeles Dodger broke Ruben Tejada's leg with a dirty slide in the 2015 NLDS. Now that Tejada is back with the Mets, he spoke to the media on Wednesday and the topic came up once again. Mets fans might actually lose their minds now after what the infielder revealed about the incident.
Ruben Tejada says it took him about a year and a half to fully recover from the Chase Utley slide in the 2015 NLDS. He hasn't talked to Utley since that day. pic.twitter.com/bcGpCfLlNQ

So, Utley didn't even apologize for this?
From a usually mild mannered David Wright preaching his disgust with Utley following the game to Terry Collins shouting profanities at umpires, the slide had a lasting impact on the franchise and baseball.
It even inspired a sliding rule change. Tejada says he has not exchanged words with Utley since the incident, but Mets fans certainly have done the talking for him.
why would a king like ruben tejada ever speak to a monster like chase utley

Tejada's last in-game memory with the Mets was being taken off the field with a broken leg. He may not be in New York too long while Jeff McNeil recovers from his hamstring injury, but Tejada can give the Mets fans a better ending to his Mets career over the next week or so.
