VIDEO: Saints CB Marcus Lattimore is Clearly Fed up With Minnesota Miracle Questions
By Michael Luciano
The New Orleans Saints will welcome Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings to the SuperDome on Wild Card Weekend, and every player wearing black and gold wants to forget about 2017's "Minnesota Miracle" that knocked the Saints out of the playoffs. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who has been getting bombarded with questions about that game for the better part of the last two years, wants to put the past in the past and focus on beating Minnesota this time around.
Can't say we blame him.
Lattimore remembers all too well when safety Marcus Williams somehow whiffed on his attempted tackle of Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs which led to a game-winning touchdown that propelled Case Keenum and the Vikings into the NFC Championship game.
Luckily for Lattimore and the Saints, the Vikings had their hearts broken by the Saints in New Orleans a decade ago, as Brett Favre's interception broke the hearts of every Minnesotan.
Both of the teams in this game have heartbreaking playoff losses suffered at the hands of the other team. Sunday's matchup will finally provide some catharsis for fans still reeling from both of those infamous defeats.
