VIDEO: Saints Fan Comically Tells Referee That He Bet the Over Before Game

The largely popular notion that the NFL's referees hold an agenda against the New Orleans Saints has proved true again in 2019. Considering the fact that Sean Payton's squad can't do anything themselves to change the narrative, it must be up to the fan base to use their charm and work some magic, right? Well, one particular buff was caught trying to get on the good side of a ref ahead of the Saints Week 5 clash against the Buccaneers on Sunday, hilariously telling the official that he bet the over before the game.

The ref displayed a brief moment of indignation before he did the right thing and laughed it off with the fan.
Ladies and gents, you might just be looking at the Saints' new cult hero. Not many people in the Big Easy can say they've made a ref laugh ahead of a game. Maybe, just maybe, New Orleans won't get robbed by the fellas in black and white today.
