VIDEO: Shams Charania Essentially Says Chris Paul's Contract is So Bad He Cannot Be Traded
By Brian Cass
It remains to be seen whether Chris Paul actually wants out of Houston. But is there even a potential landing spot? With his age (34) and his ridiculously large contract, finding a team that's willing to trade for the aging point guard won't be easy. Some believe Paul is simply untradeable due to these circumstances. Add senior NBA writer for The Athletic Shams Charania to that list.
Charania is as connected as anyone in the sports world when it comes to the NBA, so when he talks, we listen. Paul still has the talent to be a solid piece to a championship puzzle for any given team, but at his current price tag - $125 million over three years - it seems like no team is interested in Paul's services, even if the Rockets essentially give him away as Charania suggests.
We'll have to wait and see how this all plays out for Paul and the Rockets. But as of right now, the Houston brass doesn't appear to have any plan in place for their allegedly disgruntled All-Star.
