VIDEO: Skip Bayless Throws Ezekiel Elliott Jersey in Trash After Cowboys' Loss to the Vikings
By Karl Rasmussen
Despite Dak Prescott's best efforts on Sunday night, the Dallas Cowboys were unable to defend their home turf against the Minnesota Vikings, falling in the Week 10 showdown 28-24 to slip to 5-4 on the season. Star running back Ezekiel Elliott was practically non-existent in the loss, rushing for just 47 yards on 20 carries. His lack of production rubbed some Cowboys fans the wrong way, but none more than notorious Dallas supporter Skip Bayless, who had a petty way of displaying his displeasure with Zeke.
Bayless, while rocking a Prescott jersey, waltzed over to his trash can and emphatically spiked his Zeke jersey into the bin.
Of course, pregame, the outspoken commentator was singing a different tune.
The FS1 personality admitted that this was "probably an overemotional overreaction," but it's hard to blame him for being frustrated with the Cowboys' star running back.
Elliott averaged just 2.4 yards per carry and wasn't effective in the passing game either, logging just two receptions for 16 yards. The Vikings defense clearly gameplanned for Zeke, and DC George Edwards had his unit prepared to counter the 24-year-old, who continued to be unable to make something out of nothing.
Elliott's 47-yard outing was the second time this year he recorded fewer than 50 rushing yards, and was just the third time this season he failed to find the end zone.
Bayless, as usual, wasn't shy about bashing the Cowboys star, though we guarantee he picked that jersey out of the trash as soon as the camera stopped rolling.
