VIDEO: Slo-Mo Clip Reveals Baker Mayfield Literally Flipped the Football During RPO Before TD Pass
By Scott Rogust
The Cleveland Browns came back in a huge way in the third quarter on Sunday night. After watching the Los Angeles Rams take a lead on the opening drive on the second half, the Browns answered back with a two-yard touchdown reception to Demetrius Harris. However, a slo-mo check of the play reveals quarterback Baker Mayfield did something mind-bogglingly confident during the run-pass option (RPO) play. While faking the hand-off to running back Nick Chubb, Mayfield literally flipped the ball in his hands to get a better grip on the ensuing toss.
The flip turned out to be effective, as Mayfield found Harris wide open in the back of the end zone.
Whatever it takes.
