VIDEO: Slow Motion Clip of Rams CB Marcus Peters Taking Brutal Hit to the Head is Terrifying
By Thomas Carannante
The fact there was no flag thrown on this play is yet further evidence of malpractice by the NFL refs. Los Angeles Rams cornerback Marcus Peters brought his team back in the game for a moment on Sunday when he picked off Jameis Winston and took it to the house for six, but he certainly paid a hefty price for that. A trio of Tampa Bay Buccaneers players converged on him at the goal line and the final one hit him directly in the head going full speed. How is this not getting more coverage?!
It appears as if that was Bucs lineman Donovan Smith who laid the vicious blow, seemingly knocking Peters out before all of his teammates picked up him and helped him back to the sideline.
We can only hope the NFL reviews this and hands down reasonable discipline, because that could've very well been a career-ender.
