Georgia probably deserved to lose this game in a handful of different ways, but the team hung together and forced overtime against South Carolina. Well, in the second overtime period the Gamecocks nailed a 24-yard field goal, forcing the Bulldogs to score in order to keep the game alive. The Dawgs couldn't capitalize on their possession, and brought out their trusted kicker, Rodrigo Blankenship, for a 42-yard field goal. The kick had the distance, but Blankenship booted it wide left, and down went the Bulldogs.
