VIDEO: Spurs' Gregg Popovich Blasts Knicks Over Marcus Morris Signing When Talking to Reporters
By Scott Rogust

We're going to take you back to July 1, which saw the sports media world dominated by NBA free agent signings and loads of drama. One instance that provided both was the Marcus Morris saga. Morris originally agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract with the San Antonio Spurs. However, he reneged on the deal a few days later after the New York Knicks created additional cap space and made him an offer. Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich wasn't happy about it then, and he's not happy about it now, as he blasted the Knicks prior to their regular-season opener on Wednesday.
"Who signed him? I thought it was the Knicks that signed him. That's what I thought"

Popovich believes the Knicks handled the whole situation unprofessionally.
While Morris verbally agreed to a deal with the Spurs, he never signed the contract. Since he wasn't physically tied to San Antonio, Morris changed his mind and signed a one-year, $15 million contract with the Knicks.

There's bad blood between the Spurs and Knicks, so expect Morris to be showered with boos tonight in San Antonio.
