VIDEO: Steelers Called for Embarrassing Penalty Late After Center Forgets to Snap Ball
By Adam Weinrib
Pittsburgh, what...what would you say you *do* here, exactly? With a 33-3 loss winding down in Foxborough, the Steelers O-line went full mutiny, unintentionally. With just over six minutes remaining, the Black n' Gold were penalized when the center...forgot to snap the football, leading to utter chaos.
Uh...false start, everyone? I...I guess that's what that is?
Thus far, Pittsburgh's offense with Antonio Brown seems to be as out of sync as a previously-threatening unit can get. Just three points won't do, especially when the dominant opponent takes the foot off the gas pedal late and still knocks the barn down.
Mike Tomlin has plenty to work on ahead of the Steelers' next contest, but he likely didn't think, "When should I snap the ball? Should I even snap the ball at all?" would be a part of the conversation.
TJ Watt dinged up. JuJu was limping. The center held onto the football until the whistle blew the play dead. Nothing to see here.
