VIDEO: Steelers Flagged for Very Soft Roughing the Passer Against Lamar Jackson on Game-Tying Drive

If this is really roughing the passer, we have truly lost the plot. Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher Ola Adeniyi tried to chop Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson down at the legs, but he was flagged for roughing he passer despite the fact that Jackson had released the ball about a quarter of a second before Adeniyi got there, and he didn't do anything particularly rough.

There is a fine line between protecting the quarterback and whatever this nonsense is, and refs in the Ravens-Steelers game have crossed it.
You can't get blocked into the legs now, and avoid hard contact. You can't...do anything contact related? Of course, Baltimore sent this one into OT as time expired, thanks in part to this active decision by the zebras.
