VIDEO: Steph Curry Gets Brutally Honest About Trailing 3-1 in the NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors are presently in a position NOBODY thought they'd be in -- down 3-1 in a playoff series for the first time since the 2016 Western Conference Finals agains the Oklahoma City Thunder. We know how that one ended, but the fact of the matter here is that Steph Curry and Co. have been here before. And following a Game 4 NBA Finals humbling at the hands of the Raptors on Friday, Steph provided an authentic assessment on the Warriors' chances at coming back.

"It's not over," Curry said after Friday night's game. "It's not a good feeling right now, obviously. But... we've been on both sides of [a 3-1 deficit]. It's an opportunity for us to just flip this series on its head. You gotta do it one game at a time. It sounds cliche, but for us, that's the only way we're gonna get back in this series. Give everything we got for 48 minutes."

"Everybody out there believe that we can get this done and we can draw on those experiences from back in the day and see what happens."

Wow.

It's not often you see Steph, who oozes endless confidence, speaking in such a seemingly resigned monotone.

But wouldn't you be deflated after back-to-back home losses in the NBA Finals? Especially after you posted a 47-8-7 stat line essentially for nothing the game prior?

Steph is admirably not irrationally confident or otherwise deluded here. He acknowledges that a 3-1 series deficit is no joke, and will take some historic-level play to come back. The way this series against Toronto has unfolded, however, suggests that it will take much more than a Klay Thompson masterpiece to rally the troops as with the 2016 conference finals.
