If you've watched the Golden State Warriors over their first two games of the season, it likely didn't take you long to realize this team won't make the playoffs, much less be a championship contender. ESPN's Stephen A. Smith didn't expect the squad to be amazing this year, especially after losing Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson to injuries and free agency (or both, technically, in KD's case). However, Smith still wants to see more fight out them, which is why he went on a rant during "First Take" Monday morning.

On Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who aren't considered to be world beaters this year, the Warriors lost by 28 points, including being down a whopping 33 points at halftime.

They may be down some premier players, but they still have Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and now D'Angelo Russell. That's still good enough to compete, at the very least, which is why Stephen A. went on a long soliloquy and ended up calling them the "Golden State Punks," currently devoid of the level of "dog" you need to win the fight.

You don't need talent to always compete on the defensive end of the floor, which they certainly didn't do on Sunday. When you look up and down this roster, it's pretty sad depth-wise, but that doesn't mean the effort level should ever decrease.

Hello, lottery, because it looks like it'll be a long year for the Warriors.
