VIDEO: Stephen A. Smith Goes on All-Time Rant in Dark Room After Knicks Don't Win NBA Draft Lottery
By Mark Powell
It was another dark day for New York Knicks fans at the NBA Draft Lottery. We'll just call it Tuesday. The Knicks were one of several favorites to land the top pick in the NBA Draft and the rights to take Zion Williamson. Instead, NYK was gifted the No. 3 pick in what could either be Ja Morant or RJ Barrett. New York has long suffered over their professional basketball franchise, and Stephen A. Smith properly summed up those emotions in one twitter video. Please prepare yourself.
Yes, it's also darker than a Game of Thrones episode, but you can clearly hear Smith's exclamations in what may be his most absurd rant yet.
While Smith and Knicks fans have every right to be frustrated, this by no means puts an end to what is meant to be a very impactful offseason. Should New York wish, they could offer a package around the No. 3 pick and Kevin Knox for Anthony Davis, as it appears AD still wants out of New Orleans despite the Big Easy being the likely landing spot for Zion. Not to mention, the Knicks free agent plans have not changed whatsoever.
While it stings now, Smith and the rest of Knicks nation should calm down and let things play out. The offseason is far from over.
