VIDEO: Stephen Strasburg's Changeup Against Braves is Absolutely Bonkers
By Brian Cass
Pitcher Stephen Strasburg is in the midst of another stellar season for the Washington Nationals, posting an 11-4 record with a 3.46 ERA in 19 starts. His changeup is one of his trademark pitches, and it can be absolutely lethal at times. In Thursday's ball game between the Nats and Atlanta Braves, we saw Strasburg's changeup at its best.
We're not sure if anyone could have hit that pitch, as it completely shifts out of the strike zone at the very last second. The curve and changeup are Strasburg's bread and butter, and when he's hitting his marks, he's nearly impossible to beat.
With their secondary ace on the mound, Washington should have a great chance at beating their NL East-leading rival Atlanta Braves. If Strasburg continues to throw heat, the Braves lineup will be in for a long night.
