VIDEO: Steve Kerr Admits Kevin Durant's Injury is Worse Than Warriors Thought

In a plot twist that nobody could have seen coming, Steve Kerr is now claiming that Kevin Durant's calf injury is worse than the Warriors initially believed. Look, I'm not going to claim that the defending champs initially lied about the severity of the ailment, but with Golden State rolling with a 2-0 series advantage over the Trail Blazers in the Wstern Conference Finals, the urgency to get him back on the court is certainly not as high. So here we are.

Of course, dealing with a calf injury is always a delicate situation. After all, a strain is a slight tear of muscle, and if KD were to return before it is fully healed, he runs the risk of making things much worse.

The Warriors haven't really skipped a beat since Durant went down. They handled business in their second-round series against Houston without having him available in the clinching game, and have a 2-0 conference finals advantage without him as well. This is not to say that they are a better team without him like some have absurdly claimed, but they're still formidable. Kerr is clearly signaling that KD is going to get all the time he needs.

If you're a basketball fan, you love watching a guy like Durant, so the hope is that he can returns soon. If Golden State heads to the NBA Finals to face the Bucks or Raptors without his help, things could get incredibly interesting.
