VIDEO: Steve Kerr Jokes on Twitter About Fan Video Parodying Warriors Offense and Steph Curry
By Michael Luciano
Without Kevin Durant playing iso ball and slowing down the offense as a whole, the Golden State Warriors offense is a treat to watch on any given night, as they put on a master class in moving without the ball, pushing tempo, and ball movement. It's just as common to see Steph Curry drain a defender of his energy by running every which way on the court as it is to watch him knocking down a 35-footer.
Head coach Steve Kerr, who himself excelled as a shooter, passer, and effort guy as a player, seems well aware of what the Warriors offense looks like (flair included), even giving his stamp of approval to this hilarious parody.
Everything about this works. From Steph's mannerisms on the court to Draymond Green with a backpack on his pack that forces him to shoot that clunky jumper he has, it's pretty spot on.
Phil Jackson and Tex Winter had the triangle offense. Dean Smith had the Four Corners. Steve Kerr has the "everyone run around until Steph or Klay Thompson get an open three" offense. It's not as catchy, but it's every bit as effective.
