By Scott Rogust
Super Bowl LIV is right around the corner. While many will be looking forward to the exciting matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, others will be keeping their eyes peeled for the commercials. This year features a Planters commercial, and it falls under the "what did I just watch" category.
That's right, beloved mascot Mr. Peanut is dead. Gone. No longer with us. But his death doesn't technically occur until Feb. 2, so what's going on?
How was the top hat and monocle-wearing nut taken away from us? Well, he sacrificed himself to save the life of actors Wesley Snipes and Matt Walsh, both of whom were dangling off a branch above a high cliff.
The real question is: how does this all play out? Well, Planters certainly did their job of keeping you guessing until the Super Bowl.
Mr. Peanut died a horrific death at the age of 104. That's nuts.
