VIDEO: Swarm of Bees Invades Petco Park and Interrupts Marlins-Padres Game
By Scott Rogust

There was delayed baseball action in San Diego on Sunday. No, it wasn't due to rain. Snow? Not even close. As the Padres hosted the Miami Marlins, the game had to be halted due to a swarm of bees that invaded Petco Park. How many bees were there? Well, enough to nearly consume a Fox Sports microphone.
That is... a lot of bees.#FriarFaithful | @MLBONFOX pic.twitter.com/ZaGtagZAUJ

Everyone near the first base line had to evacuate due to the colony of bees making their new home. Even Padres first baseman Josh Naylor was attacked while standing in the batter's box.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground.

The bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. pic.twitter.com/qP9Kcdml3X
While not as intense as when midges attacked Joba Chamberlain during the 2007 ALDS in Cleveland, it was still enough to become a nuisance to the athletes. Try focusing on a 95 mph fastball when you hear the sound of thousands of bees swarming just a few feet away!
So there you have it, that was the buzz in San Diego.
