VIDEO: Team USA's Dylan Larkin Takes Puck Right to the Groin at IIHF Worlds
By Michael Luciano

As entertaining as shots to a man's sensitive region can be, one is ultimately reminded most of all of the perils that come with being a professional athlete. At the IIHF World Championships against Canada, USA and Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin took a slap shot right in the jewels that forced him to head to the locker room.

To every man who is reading this, I'm sorry you had to see that.
Larkin is a key cog for what the Americans want to do offensively, so any period of time he's out is a major loss.
What makes it even worse is that Larkin was having a tremendous tournament, even sniping a game-winning goal in overtime to take down a Finland team with quality depth at every position.

If there's any justice in the world, Larkin's tournament performance will be remembered more for his clutch goal to take down the Finnish rather than arguably the most painful moment of his entire life. We can only hope.
