VIDEO: Tempers Flare in Dodgers-Giants as Madison Bumgarner Yells at Max Muncy After Long Home Run
By Michael Luciano

It never ceases to amaze that so many MLB pitchers are more angry with a player slowly trotting around the bases after a home run than they are at themselves for surrendering it. After San Francisco Giants starter Madison Bumgarner served up a meatball that Dodgers infielder Max Muncy promptly deposited in McCovey Cove (with no bat flip to boot!), Bumgarner accosted Muncy to the point where umpire Will Little had to intervene.

Muncy absolutely demolished his 13th home run of the season. That's what happens when a 92 MPH cutter doesn't cut and stays in the middle of the plate.

Max Muncy homers (13): fly ball to RF (solo)

Could Bumgarner actually have a point here? While Muncy does trot slowly out of the box, he managed to turn his head towards Bumgarner, too. Was something said? You be the judge.

This is Tim Anderson/Brad Keller, west coast version. While this has been said 1,000 times already, it still bears repeating. If you don't like how Muncy celebrates, don't give up the home run in the first place.
