By Adam Godfrey

In the NBA, it is pretty rare to see an on the court fight, especially in an important environment such as the NBA Playoffs. Apparently that's not the case in the Philippines Basketball Association. In one PBA Commissioner's Cup game between the TNT KaTropa and the Phoenix Pulse, former NBA player Terrence Jones went at it with one of his opponents.

In the fourth quarter of their game, Jones appeared to punch Phoenix player Calvin Abueva in the groin after Abueva knocked him to the ground away from the ball.
On the following possession for Phoenix, the ball found its way to Abueva with a shot opportunity. The shot missed and Jones grabbed the rebound and took it away from the basket. As he dribbled away, Abueva chased him down and took a swing at his face and connected.
Terrence Jones denies hitting Calvin Abueva in the groin area midway through the final frame of TNT's 114-88 win over Phoenix here in Antipolo City.

Abueva was ejected for the play, and even at that point he looked satisfied with what he had done. Jones was asked about the two plays after the game, in which he denied hitting Abueva in the groin. He then went on to call him a 'funny guy' for the play and the celebration afterwards.
Jones, a former Kentucky Wildcat, finished the game with 40 points and 10 rebounds in a TNT win, along with six assists and four steals in the game.
