VIDEO: Texans Young WR Keke Coutee Suffers Gnarly Ankle Injury in Preseason Against Packers

Is there anything more deflating than a preseason injury to one of your teams' rising stars? Houston Texans wide receiver Keke Coutee figured to be in line for a breakout season in Year 2 with Deshaun Watson and company. However, Coutee might need to miss some serious time after a gruesome ankle injury he sustained in Houston's preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers.

After an extremely productive college career with Kliff Kingsbury and Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech, Coutee was selected in the fourth round, 103rd overall, in the 2018 NFL draft. Coutee established himself as the Texans' go-to slot guy, recording 28 catches for 287 yards and a touchdown in his first NFL season.

Following the injury, Coutee grabbed his right knee and was soon carted off of the field. While nothing is official, this is certainly not a sight Texans fans wanted to see.

While Coutee's injury looked pretty nasty, hopefully it's nothing major that will knock him out for most of the season.
