VIDEO: Tim Tebow Finally Hits First Triple-A Homer and Gets Silent Treatment in the Dugout

As the old saying goes, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, currently in the middle of what is essentially an MLB fantasy camp experience with the Triple-A Syracuse Mets, has been objectively awful to start the season, going .153 with no home runs out of the gate. However, the former Heisman winner took Columbus Clippers pitcher Asher Wojciechowski deep for his first Triple-A home run this weekend. Naturally, his teammates gave him the old silent treatment.

Tebow is now hitting .157 with 43 strikeouts in 34 games and just six extra-base hits. Not exactly Vladimir Guerrero Jr. numbers, but at least he still has some pop. What's more, he's putting butts in the seats.

Given how unpredictable baseball is, Tebow might be on the verge of a hot streak. You never know!

Most teams with common sense would advise against promoting someone with a .447 OPS. However, given the way the Mets have been spiraling lately, a Tebow September call-up to sell tickets isn't the worst possible idea in the world.
