VIDEO: Time Lapse of London Stadium's Baseball Field for Yankees-Red Sox Series is Awesome

The New York Yankees are facing off against the Boston Red Sox in a two-game series and longtime rivals will be making their way across the pond to England to play the first ever MLB games in Europe. This historic event will take place at England's famous London Stadium, home of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. The stadium just recently revealed what fans should expect to see as they tune in to watch the long awaited game, and it looks just as awesome as anyone could expect.

The massive stadium has the capacity to hold 66,000 fans, almost double that of Fenway and about 10,000 seats more than Dodger Stadium, the largest MLB park in the U.S.

Baseball has not been one of the more famous sports in England, or Europe as a whole, but these games are expected to bring interest from the overseas market that was previously untapped. The MLB is following after other pro leagues like the NBA and NFL, which have already made their way across the Atlantic for multiple matchups.

If all goes well, this could bring in a new fan base for Major League Baseball.
