VIDEO: Tommy Kahnle's Tarp Slide During Yankees AL East Champs Celebration is the Stuff of Legends

The New York Yankees clinched the AL East title for the first time since 2012 Thursday night, and as you can imagine, it was a big time celebration in the clubhouse. Everything was covered in plastic tarps and champagne was flowing. So, why not put the two together and make a memorable moment? Yankees reliever Tommy Kahnle wasn't afraid. Huge shout out to Yankees clubhouse reporter Meredith Marakovits for continuing her interview with Brett Gardner. It would've been easy to stop mid-question and take a look at what was happening behind her, but she kept on doing her job.
What a pro.
Meredith: “Tommy Kahnle just did a tarp slide behind us. Are you next, Brett?”

Of course, she ended up asking Gardner if he was next, an opportunity which he declined almost immediately.
After a brutal 2018 season, Kahnle has been a stable presence in the Yankee pen, so I don't blame him for making a fool of himself. To be honest, I'd be right there with him.
