VIDEO: Tons of Saints Fans Showing Up to Season Opener in Referee Uniforms is the Ultimate Troll

Apparently, it's not just head coach Sean Payton who is still hung up on "that" non-call from last season's playoffs, but also the entire New Orleans Saints fanbase.

In fact, plenty of Saints fans showed up to the team's season opener wearing black and white striped referee jerseys to troll the officials for their missed call that doomed New Orleans against the LA Rams in January. And in terms of trolling, it's the stuff chef kisses were made of.

Not only do fans have referee jerseys, but plenty of them also have their own flags and whistles to take things a step further. Clearly, fans are still upset with how the previous season ended.

As they should be.

At first, this is a hilarious troll of the missed call from last season. But at the end of the day, Saints fans need to just move on. I mean, Payton got an entire rule changed on the basis of one missed call. I think that's enough for one season.

Missed calls happen in every game of every season, and that is no exception. Yes, the missed pass interference call was egregious and no doubt inexcusable, but last season is over. The team and its fans ought to be able to focus on the extremely talented group of players they have this year, however.

Hopefully, this isn't a trend we see all season, because it's already getting old.
