VIDEO: Tony Gonzalez Reveals He Threatened to Retire When Bills Wanted to Trade for Him

The city of Buffalo is a fun, growing place with the picturesque views of Niagara Falls on hand, but perhaps it's just not the type of place that NFL superstars are dying to play in. Just ask Antonio Brown-- or Tony Gonzalez. When the Kansas City Chiefs were going to trade the Hall of Fame tight end to the Bills, he threatened to retire, citing his displeasure with the direction of that organization and then-head coach Dick Jauron.

After 12 years in Kansas City, Gonzalez wanted to go to a good organization where he could win, and he found that with the Atlanta Falcons, with whom he played the last five years of his career.

Gonzalez, who was born and raised in California, is yet another star player to reject the frigid winter temperatures of upstate New York; Antonio Brown is currently the latest (that we know of), but he surely won't be the last.

Buffalo may not have the glitz of LA, glamour of New York, or weather of Miami, but this city's name has been besmirched long enough. Maybe if they keep winning under Sean McDermott, stars like Gonzalez will change their tune.
