VIDEO: Trae Young Indicates He Meant to Miss FT Before Big John Collins Rebound
By Michael Luciano

The year of Trae Young is upon us, and everything is coming up roses for the second-year Atlanta Hawks point guard. When Young missed a free throw late in Atlanta's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, center John Collins slammed it home for two points. Young, living up up his "Ice Trae" moniker, was cool, calm, and collected afterwards, appearing to claim that he intentionally missed so that Collins could get the rebound and do his thing underneath. Sure!

Young came into this game averaging 38.5 points, 7.0 boards, and 9.0 assists through two games. While he did continue his hot start to the year with a 25-point, nine-assist performance, his Hawks fell in a close one to a dominant Joel Embiid and the 76ers, 105-103.

The Hawks might not be ready to make the leap just yet, but Young is emerging as a star, and the rest of the league is starting to take notice. Watch out for the Hawks in a few years.
