VIDEO: Trevor Bauer Paid Tribute to Tyler Skaggs by Writing His Initials on Pitcher's Mound
When news broke Monday that Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs was found dead in his hotel room, players shared their condolences and paid respects to the 27-year-old's family and friends. Former teammate Trevor Bauer showed his respect on Tuesday evening when he took the mound for Cleveland and honored his late friend.
Bauer wrote "TS45" in the pitcher's mound dirt with his cleat, while also writing the initials on the corner of his hat.
Bauer is one of a number of MLB players who've paid their respects, as Nationals pitcher Patrick Corbin wrote his initials in the dirt and wore the number 45 during his start on Tuesday. Giancarlo Stanton also posted a touching message on Instagram.
Major League Baseball is a family, and there's no shortage of love going around for Tyler Skaggs and his family during this trying time.
