VIDEO: Trevor Bauer Posts Incredible Emotional Tribute to Cleveland Indians Career
By Adam Weinrib
Trevor Bauer is a complicated man, but no matter your view of his actions or personal proclivities, you can't deny he wears his heart on his sleeve. It should be no shock, therefore, that Bauer posted a professionally-edited and highly emotional reflection on his time in Cleveland, centered around the magic of the 2017 Tribe's 22-game winning streak.
Perhaps we didn't expect him to get quite this introspective, though. Bauer's reflections here are impressively genuine, and the production value is very high.
Bauer's Tribe teams never delivered a World Series for the baseball title-starved city of Cleveland, but they made it to the brink and delivered among the best regular seasons Northeast Ohio has ever seen. And he loved them. Truly. He even attended Wednesday night's game as a fan before heading across the state.
Color us among the many impressed by Bauer's quick turnaround time here.
Perhaps he simply had it prepared knowing he intended to get by on one-year contracts for the remainder of his prime?
It's a shame we won't get the chance to see Bauer in a pressure situation for the remainder of this season, but hopefully the 2019 Reds bounce back.
He could use a shot at redemption.
