VIDEO: Tua Tagovailoa is a True Teammate for Showing up to Alabama's Game vs FCS Opponent
By Chris Pyo
No. 5 Alabama might be playing a tune-up game against an FCS opponent in anticipation of their matchup with Auburn next week, but that didn't stop Tua Tagovailoa from showing up to support his team. Bama fans showered him with love in his return to the stadium, and there's no denying he deserved it:
This past Monday, Tua was in Houston to repair the season-ending dislocated hip he suffered against Mississippi State. Thankfully, surgery reportedly went well, and the doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
All of this is good news for Tagovailoa, who was heavily expected to be a Top 5 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Instead, his draft stock has gone down a bit, with teams not knowing exactly what to expect from him in the aftermath of such a devastating injury, especially to a young, mobile quarterback.
For now, however, Tua's back in Tuscaloosa to cheer on him teammates against 3-8 Western Carolina. Props to him for making sure his team knew he was there for them even in an expected blowout.
