Did Willie Fritz just revolutionize college football? The Tulane head coach appeared content to go into overtime against the Houston Cougars after D'Eriq King led his team down the field for a game-tying field goal. Yet, even though Fritz's team lined up in what's known as victory formation, a kneel was not in their plans.
Tulane QB Justin McMillan took a step back, only to hand the ball to the running back on a make-shift counter, of sorts. The Green Wave picked up a solid 20 yards, setting up what would be the game-winning deep ball from McMillan to Jalen McCleskey.
Turns out you watched the wrong football game on Thursday night, folks. The real AACtion was in New Orleans.
