VIDEO: Twins Top Prospect Royce Lewis Does Pushups at Second Base and Gets Thrown at Next AB
By Ryan Flores

In baseball, there are some things you just don't do, per the unwritten rule book. Minnesota Twins prospect Royce Lewis decided to show off a bit on Thursday night, doing pushups after a double to show his team that he needs to hit the weight room. Though it was innocent enough, of course there was retaliation.

Lewis was immediately booed for not showing good sportsmanship, and we do admit that we get it.
In his next at-bat, the pitcher threw right behind Lewis because, of course, he was offended. The pitcher and manager were both ejected as a result, and the Fort Myers Miracle went on to win 13-7 against the Bradenton Marauders anyway.
Royce Lewis doubled in 5th & celebrated by doing pushups at 2nd. Bradenton pitcher threw behind him next AB. Pitcher ejected along w/ mgr & teammate. Unwritten rules must be learned in Class A, obviously.

Lewis is off to a slow start for High-A Fort Myers, hitting .233/.310/.320 with no homers and 10 runs batted in through 37 games. With his slow start, it's kind of nuts that he would pull this kind of stunt in the middle of a game. The kids are having more fun than ever these days, it seems.
