VIDEO: Twins Turn 2nd Triple Play of Season on Braves With Bases Loaded and Nobody Out
By Michael Luciano

Well now, that's one way to escape a bases-loaded jam. Martin Perez hasn't had a good day at the office so far, as he and the Minnesota Twins trail the Atlanta Braves 6-0 thanks to home runs from Freddie Freeman and Ozzie Albies. Perez's afternoon could have gone from bad to worse with Tyler Flowers at the plate and the bases loaded, but Perez managed to induce Flowers to ground into an inning-ending 5-4-3 triple play.

It seems as if triple plays are Perez's specialty. This particular triple play was the second that Perez forced in the last month, as he also caused Yankees first baseman Edwin Encarnacion to hit into one during their late July series.

Note to teams facing Perez with runners on first and second and nobody out: bunt them over.
