VIDEO: Tyler Flowers Swats Game-Tying Homer For the Braves in San Francisco
By Michael Luciano

Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers just wanted to remind everyone that it's not just hyped third base prospect Austin Riley who can smash timely homers on this team. The backstop took San Francisco Giants starter Madison Bumgarner deep to left center to tie the game up a 2-2 in the fifth inning Thursday.

Flowers has been on platoon duty this year, splitting time with Brain McCann behind the plate. However, he has shown in limited action that he hasn't lost the power stroke. His fifth home run of the season was absolutely crushed.

The combination of Flowers and McCann has been a major pleasant surprise for the Braves this year, as their combined production equals that of the best catchers in all of baseball.
#Braves' veteran catching duo of Tyler Flowers and Brian McCann has combined to hit .278 with 8 HR and 26 RBI in 51 games. Only 6 teams in #MLB have gotten more HR and RBI from their catchers and only four have a higher batting average from the position.

Meanwhile, for the Giants, every home run that MadBum gives up further dings his trade value. Just ship him out of town and get some big-time prospects already.
