VIDEO: Tyreek Hill Exits Practice After Suffering Leg Injury Following Hit From Bashaud Breeland
By Karl Rasmussen
Tyreek Hill is back at practice with the Chiefs as he looks to put this controversial offseason behind him. Unfortunately, Tuesday's practice saw the wideout pick up a knock. Hill took a big hit during practice, courtesy of teammate Bashaud Breeland, and the video footage has now leaked.
The wideout got up under his own power and limped off the field, per Pete Sweeney. Hill then went over to the medical tent to get checked out by team doctors, but didn't stay there long.
After being evaluated by the medical staff, Hill was seen heading for further examination, leaving the field in the passenger seat of a cart and driving towards the team's practice facility.
According to Matt Derrick, it looks as if Hill is having his right leg inspected by the medical staff, which is not a good sign for the Chiefs star receiver. It's always disappointing when a player goes down during practice, so we're hoping the ailment isn't severe.
Per Adam Schefter, it registers as only a "bruised quad"; Hill should be just fine.
In 2018, Hill caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns. He and quarterback Patrick Mahomes developed quite the rapport alongside one another, and the third-year shot caller will be hoping to have his favorite target on the field with him when the regular season swings around.
