VIDEO: Umpire Absurdly Calls Rangers' Asdrubal Cabrera Safe and Then Immediately Changes His Mind

Instant replay has assisted in making better calls in place of umpires, but maybe it's time to go robot after this ridiculous call. After receiving the throw from the outfield, Red Sox 2B Marco Hernandez supposedly missed the tag to get Rangers INF Asdrubal Cabrera out. The ump even gave the safe sign gesture to confirm his decision before immediately trying to overrule it with an "out" ruling.

This was a terribly confusing mistake from the umpire, as everyone on the field looked completely baffled, and the umpire didn't look too sure of himself either.

The umpires in baseball are far from the only referees making bad calls, as we've seen across all the major sports. But maybe make up your mind after you've emphatically decided on one call!

It's worth noting, that both Alex Cora and Chris Woodward were ejected from this ball game, regarding separate incidents with the umpires. It was Woodward's first ejection from as a manager.
