VIDEO: USC QB JT Daniels Helped Off Field After Nasty-Looking Injury
By Adam Weinrib
USC's season could be over before it ever really started. Against Fresno State in the late night slot on Saturday, JT Daniels and the Trojans hoped to jumpstart a sophomore campaign that built solidly on his work in 2018. Unfortunately, on a hard sack, the follow-up may have already come to an end. Daniels was hit hard, hurt his knee, and struggled to get right in the aftermath.
A hobbled Daniels attempting to find his way off the field hardly inspired confidence, either.
Daniels was 25-of-34 for 215 yards in this one before departing, leading the Trojans ably, though still struggling to separate his fighters from the Bulldogs.
In his stead, true freshman Kedon Slovis will take over.
Daniels, for what it's worth, did flash a thumbs up on the way out.
We wish the trooper well. Let's hope it looked far worse than it truly ends up being.
